NME (New Music Express) is thrilled to announce openings for our Summer Internship Program designed for graduate students passionate about multimedia journalism and content creation. As a NME intern, you will have the exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of music and entertainment reporting, contributing to one of the most influential media outlets in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the creation of engaging and timely multimedia content, including articles, videos, and social media posts.
  2. Conduct interviews and research to develop compelling stories and features on music artists and cultural trends.
  3. Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm and pitch creative content ideas.
  4. Assist in covering live events, concerts, and festivals.
  5. Stay updated on music and entertainment trends to ensure content remains relevant and resonates with the target audience.

Qualifications:

  1. Recent graduate with a degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  2. Exceptional writing and storytelling skills.
  3. Passion for music, entertainment, and pop culture.
  4. Strong research and interview skills.
  5. Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:

  • Previous journalism or content creation experience, including internships or contributions to student publications, is a plus.

Skills:

  1. Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  2. Basic knowledge of multimedia tools and platforms.
  3. Familiarity with social media trends and engagement strategies.
  4. Photography or video editing skills are advantageous.
